Ad Industry Leaders Take Stand on Online Crime During Digital Citizens Awards
The Digital Citizens Alliance is pleased to announce the two winners of our very first Digital Citizens of the Year awards. Two of the leading voices against online crime from the world of advertising, our Digital Citizens of the Year are:
- Bob Liodice, President and CEO of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA)
- Randall Rothenberg, President and CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)
Liodice and Randall Rothenberg are two of the leading voices on the advertising industry. Each has spoken out on what the advertising community can do to help ensure legitimate advertisements do not end up on rogue websites that promote content theft, spread malware, and allow bad actors on the Internet to commit a number of online crimes, including identity theft.
At the Advertising Week event where the two men accepted the award, both spoke out about best practices and changes the industry could make for a better and safer Internet.
Both men were forthright about the stakes involved – saying it was important for the industry to be part of the solution to growing concerns about advertisers inadvertently subsidizing crooked and rogue operators.

Once again, congratulations to both Bob and Randall, and thank you for everything you’re doing to make the Internet a safer, more secure place for all digital citizens!
